Who Can I Call Before the Police?

How We Got Started

Contact the YJC to learn more about how to build your team’s skills to respond to addiction, overdose, secual assault, domestic violence, emergency medical care, inter-neighborhood conflict, mental health intervention, cop watch and accountability.

The YJC works with its partners to build a culture of transformative justice, develop the skills of local Community Action Teams to reduce harm, promote healing, and disrupt injustice by decreasing our reliance on police while redirecting law enforcement spending in Los Angeles County.

At the heart of this work is the building of the S.T.O.P. Police Violence Coalition, led by families whose loved ones have been killed or injured by law enforcement.
