SB 439 – Mitchell – Ends juvenile court prosecution of children under age 12. Instead these cases would be referred to child protective services, and children would no longer have a criminal record or experience detention in juvenile hall and incarceration.
SB 10 – Hertzberg – Bail Reform to ensure that people are not held in dangerous, overcrowded jails after an arrest simply because they cannot afford to post bail

AB 1639 – Garcia – Victim Compensation / #HealingForAll
Ends discrimination against people who are allegedly gang involved, have prior convictions, who are unable to cooperate with law enforcement investigation, or who are undocumented from getting victim compensation and services, including support for mortuary expenses, counseling, etc.

SB 190 – Mitchell – Ends billing of families for time youth are in juvenile hall, Probation camps and ranches, as well as mandatory court fees such as ankle monitoring and public defender fees.
