INSPIRE

Last Tuesday, Mayor Garcetti held a press conference in the YO Watts Rec. Room, where a youth center has been operating for more than 15 years including INSPIRE High School for the past two years. The local City Councilman from Watts – Joe Buscaino (CD15) – used the press conference as an opportunity to announce that his office would be moving into the Recreation Room by the end of the year and displacing youth from their school and community space.
Please attend tonight’s Community Forum at 5:30 at INSPIRE Research Academy (1501 East 103rd Street, Los Angeles, 90002). We need to pack the meeting with people and make it known that safe spaces for youth are essential for the education and development of the entire community.
LA for Youth!!! Invest in youth centers, intervention and youth jobs not jails!!!
