At YJC, our values shape how we show up for each other and our community. Working with us means being part of a collective that leads with love, care, and courage. We believe in abolition as a daily practice—centering healing, accountability, and self-determination in everything we do. Collaboration is core: we honor lived experience, build trust through transparency, and move together with purpose.
Here are the openings we have. Qualified applicants should send a cover letter, resume, and three references to [email protected].
The Youth Justice Coalition Community & Membership Organizer will work to coordinate systems- impacted young people and their families across Los Angeles County. They will also organize YJC members to advance youth justice abolitionist work, and mobilize and expand our membership base. They will also sustain and build relationships with community-based organizations, state, county and city officials, YJC staff and current & alumni students, impacted parents and impacted youth.
Change happens when we move together. Whether it’s showing up at rallies, supporting campaigns, or sharing your voice in community, there are many ways to join the fight for youth justice. Take action, plug in, and stand with us for freedom, healing, and real safety.
